So excited to tell everyone about “The Food Designers”! We were recently honored with an invitation for the most amazing food tasting hosted by the Food Designers. We had everything from stuffed mushrooms, salmon, to pumpkin cheesecake bites. Something New Boutique is so pleased to have them featured as a vendor in our “passport to savings” folders, and we hope that you check them out.
Here is a little more about the great couple who run The Food Designers:
Andrew T. Darrigan, Jr. is a graduate of the French Culinary Institute in New York. FCI’s curriculum combines classic French culinary techniques with American inventiveness. Its faculty includes celebrated master chefs Alan Saliac, Jacques Pepin, Andre Soltner, Jacques Torres and master sommelier Andrea Immer.
Immediately after graduation, Andrew worked at Bolo, a well known restaurant in Manhattan, under nationally acclaimed chef Bobby Flay. From Bolo he began a career in catering working for some of the best companies in New York City including Urban Events, and he has catered for every kind of group and event from large 2,500 person affairs such as the Cirque de Soleil to dinner parties hosted by Robert De Niro and Anna Wintaur of Vogue. He has also catered seasonally for Prada serving lunches to buyers from all over the world.
Since purchasing the company, Andrew and Heather Darrigan have worked with many clients through a unique and creative approach to ensure that their special occasions will be memorable, distinctive and superbly executed. Great attention to detail and willingness to design menus from scratch have won them several prestigious awards including Best Upscale Caterer by the Gazette, Bronze Medal for Best Caterer by the Independent, Runner Up for Best Caterer in Business General and Second Place Winner in the appetizer category at the Chef’s Gala.
Andrew and Heather strive to maintain the superior level of service, quality, professionalism and innovation in cuisine that have been the company’s trademark since 1984.

They also own “Motif” jazz club which features great food, great drinks, a fantastic patio and some of the best live music in town. They host private events as well, so if you are looking for a cool new place for your private event, look no further!
