September is a very special month to the team at Something New — Childhood Cancer Awareness Month! Our heart for Child Cancer Awareness Month comes from a deeply personal place. Our owner, Mindi, knows the challenges that come with childhood cancer firsthand, as her own son is a courageous childhood cancer survivor.
Every purchase at Something New gives back to community causes year-round, but this month we focus specifically on our partnership with the Lighthouse Family Retreats, a place of hope and healing for countless families, not just our own!
So this month at Something New, we’re inviting our brides to contribute to the cause and help give back with their own wedding dress purchase! And as a thank you for helping us support Lighthouse Family Retreats, brides have the opportunity to “Go for the gold” (a game inspired by kids where brides can win exciting prizes for their appointment — such as $$$ off their wedding gown, a free upgrade, and more!) The symbol of gold celebrates that children are worth MORE than gold, and we want to help make sure every child has the opportunity to grow up and live out their own dreams!
